We are an eclectic group of dedicated volunteers with numerous years of experience with greyhounds. Our organization, though relatively small, prides itself on providing personalized support. We are here to help our adopters before, during, and after placement. It is our commitment to make solid, life-long matches between greyhounds and their new families and we invest the time to make this happen.
We also have a unique philosophy of choosing to foster all of our rescued greyhounds prior to placement in permanent loving homes. Fostering allows our dogs to acclimate from the racetrack lifestyle into a stable home environment. It also gives us a chance to get to know the dogs so we can provide further support to new adopters post-placement.
During the fostering period, our dogs receive all medical care including spay/neuter, vaccinations, dental work, and any other necessary medical treatment. As well, the foster parents help our greyhounds adjust to the many new things they will encounter living outside the kennel.
Our group is committed to educating the community about former racing greyhounds, and is always looking for new ways to spread the word. You will find us frequently participating in public events, street fairs, schools, retirement homes, senior centers, and "Meet and Greets" at local pet stores.
